Thermal cycling, not just cold
Boise's dry air lets heat escape quickly after sunset, producing large daily temperature swings in every season. A garage slab expands and contracts noticeably each day, and a coating bonded to it has to move with it. Flexibility in the base coat matters more here than the raw low-temperature rating.
New construction dominates the market
